Just a liiiittle somethin’ different here. Jada’s room makeover was done this week and if you missed out you can find out about that here. After looking it over again, I noticed there was still something missing.
Just the lone birdcage sat here before, but I thought the window pane would look nice behind it and of course, some twigs and tree branches from outside.
If you know me, you know my love for sticks, twigs and branches for home decor.
So, just stuck a few of those on in there and it looks a lot better.
Now maybe a live bird to fly around in there to finish it off?
Nope, wouldn’t even think about doin’ that. Everyone knows I forget to feed Barkley most days until 7pm mid morning. I won’t be getting a bird for this birdcage unless I need to give my kids a lesson in the circle of life.
The cage can just sit here without a purpose. Just pretty to look at.
And maybe for a conversation starter with guests. “Why do you have an empty bird cage in Jada’s room?”
“Well, I’m glad you asked. Really glad.”
On second thought, that’s not really that interesting of a conversation to start.
Welp, enough bird cage talk. There’s an intense hockey game goin’ on in my kitchen.
I know this doesn’t look like it ended well, but JimJim’s pretty accurate with his slap shot and missed the goalie (Jada’s) face by a few inches.
Hey kids, you wanna do some puzzles or read a book? I’m not really feelin’ a trip to the ER to kick off this weekend.
