Bathroom Reno Part 1

The bathroom reno is under way. I started painting last night and finished it up this morning! Woohoo!

BUT I’m going to wait to show you the reveal on Monday. Showing some self control on my part. Plus there are a few final touches I want to get in there before Monday.

So, here is what the before was lookin’ like.

I’ve been thinking about what I want to do all week and finally went and got the paint yesterday and got to it. I’ll explain more on Monday. Secrets! Secrets!

And I will show you what I did with this little number.

And I didn’t google whether you can do this, but I painted our shower curtain. I think it was satin. So painting satin with latex paint I would imagine is frowned upon, discouraged, and overall just NOT ok.

I did it anyway and am SO glad I did. Can’t wait to show you how rebellion pays off!

Meanwhile, the kids and daddy passed the time playing a matching game, while sportin’ their “elbow sleeves.”

So as I started along last night, I thought I was painting a dark gray but it sure looked a lot like a light blue.

Jimmy came in and confirmed when he said, “Easter bunny blue in here?”

I thought it was just me. Doggoneit.

Blue or gray to you?

But, I just kept going and hoped it would look better when it dried and in natural light.

And it does. Much more gray and a lot better in real light.

The name of the paint is “Gris” and although I am a little rusty in the spanish department these days, last I’d checked that means “Gray” in spanish.

Well gray or blue, it’s all coming together and I LOVE it! So much better than what was goin’, on before.

Thankfully I’m done. I know it’s time to resume motherly duties when underwear goes on heads.

I guess Daddy the kids got bored.

It’s the best when you get the smooshed face goin’.

What’s that you say? You needed an idea of what to do for fun this weekend?

Getcha some Hanes and get your smooshface on.

And you thought big boy undies were just for potty training.

Happy Friday everyone! See you back here on Monday to show you the finished bathroom!
